ΣΑΒΒΑΤΟ 28 ΟΚΤΩΒΡΙΟΥ 2023
Το βράδυ του Σαββάτου 28 Οκτωβρίου, θα συμβεί το φαινόμενο της Μερικής έκλειψης της Σελήνης, το οποίο θα είναι πλήρως ορατό από την Κύπρο. Η Σελήνη (Πανσέληνος) θα ανατείλει στις 17:41. Το φαινόμενο ξεκινά με την είσοδο της Σελήνης στην παρασκιά της Γης στις 21:01. H Μερική έκλειψη ξεκινά με την είσοδο της Σελήνης εντός του κύριου μέρους της σκιάς της Γής στις 22:35. Η έκλειψη κορυφώνεται στις 23:15 με την Σελήνη να βρίσκεται σε ύψος 65 μοίρων. Η Μερική έκλειψη τελειώνει στις 23:52 και το φαινόμενο λήγει στις 01:26 ξημερώματα Κυριακής με την πλήρη έξοδο της Σελήνης απο την παρασκιά της Γής.
Οι Μερικές εκλείψεις συμβαίνουν όταν η Σελήνη διέρχεται εν μέρει μέσα από την σκιά της Γης. Είναι ιδιαίτερα ευδιάκριτο φαινόμενο με γυμνό οφθαλμό καθότι η σκίαση στην Σελήνη είναι εμφανής αλλά επίσης μπορεί να καταγραφεί και φωτογραφικά.

PARTIAL LUNAR ECLIPSE

On the night of October 28 we will have the opportunity to observe a Partial Lunar Eclipse. The phenomenon will be visible in it's entirety from Cyprus. The Full Moon will rise at approximately 17:41 and the phenomenon begins at 21:01 with the Moon entering the outer part of the Earth's shadow - the Penumbra. The Partial Eclipse begins with the Moon entering the main part of the Earth's shadow at 22:35. The phenomenon reaches it's maximum at 23:15 with the Moon at an altitude of 65 degrees. The Partial Eclipse phase ends when the Moon exits the Umbra at 23:52 and the entire phenomenon ends at 01:26 with the complete exit of the Moon from the Earth's penumbra.
Partial Eclipses occur when the Moon grazes a part of the Earth's shadow. They are easily observable with the unaided eye as the darkening of the Lunar surface is noticeable but can also be enjoyed photographically.
